Transfers between race distances can be requested up until such time as that event distance is sold out, subject to the following terms:
You will be required to sign the Athlete Waiver online when you register for GSER 2022.
This basically is to ensure that you take full responsibility for entering the event and your training and conditioning in order to attempt the event, amongst other legal rights and obligations.
This is a very important document. Please take time to read it.
We are confident that we’ll be able to host GSER 2022 with all going well!
The team at Ultra Endurance will ensure we comply with COVID-19 protocols and have committed to following the approved industry plan to create a safe environment for runners, volunteers, and spectators.
Any changes to the normal event operations that will affect runners will be communicated directly to you if they come into effect.
Rest assured, we’ll continue working with all stakeholders and relevant government agencies to put on a safe, fun, rewarding event for all involved.
We know entering events in 2021 is considered risky business so we’ve made the following commitments to our runners:
IF GSER 2022 (NOVEMBER 11TH TO 13TH) MUST BE CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
If this happens, we hope most of you will allow us to move your entry to our 2023 event. This would be a huge help for us to weather the financial hit that cancellation would cause, with many funds already allocated to the 2022 event.
BORDER CLOSURES – AFFECTING INTERSTATE AND INTERNATIONAL RUNNERS: BORDER CLOSURES – AFFECTING INTERSTATE AND INTERNATIONAL RUNNERS:
If at the time of GSER 2022 (November 11th to 13th) the Victorian border is closed to interstate and international runners, we will provide the opportunity to receive credit for your entry which will be valid for 2 years, allowing you to enter our 2023 event.
This credit may be passed onto someone else, either now or across the next year, but cannot be taken in cash or product. Alternatively, you may transfer your entry to another person without incurring a transfer fee.
Our COVID-19 postponement/cancellation options are generous in comparison to many events. The above commitments come at a significant, and previously unforeseen, risk to the Ultra Endurance team however, we want to do the right thing by our runners and to give you every reason to feel confident registering for our events. In return, we ask you to please consider our very small, family business before bending the rules or asking for additional allowances. Just as we’ve taken on the huge risk of a full cancellation, each runner who enters any event will always bear some risk of individual withdrawals.
We know most of you are total legends and would always do the right thing however any entrants seen to be taking advantage of these exemptions, may be asked to refrain from entering any of our future events.
